Blake Shelton may be used to dealing with rumors and media reports. And he’s Been able to laugh it off, but when he catches wind of something that’s false, like one about how he’s being fired from NBC’s “The Voice,” he has no problem airing out how he really feels on Twitter.
The 39-year-old country singer responded to reports on Twitter Tuesday that he was going to be fired from the show he’s been a part of for nine seasons. The “Sangria” singer had some choice words for the people starting the rumor. You can see his tweet below
Shelton’s response came about after a fan tweeted at him asking why people were saying on Facebook that he was fired. It’s unclear where the reports came from, but fans of the country singer can breathe easy as it sounds like Shelton isn’t going anywhere.
Shelton has been a judge on “The Voice” since the show first aired on NBC in April 2011. Of the nine seasons that have aired so far, Shelton has coached four of the winners, including Jermaine Paul (Season 2), Cassadee Pope (Season 3), Danielle Bradbery (Season 4) and Craig Wayne Boyd (Season 7). He will continue to be a coach on the show’s upcoming 10th season.

According to a source close to the 39-year-old country music superstar, “Blake is mulling over the possibility of quitting the show after this next season.”
“He is saying that he loves The Voice because it brought him to Gwen, but that he ultimately wants to focus more on his career and give other artists the opportunity that he has had,” said the insider.

As Radar previously reported, last week Shelton’s 46-year-old girlfriend had an epic meltdown with producer
for the show over not being asked to be a judge on next season’s The Voice.
The insider told Radar at the time that Stefani — who is embarking on a world tour next week — “was livid that she was not asked to replace Christina on The Voice next season. Because of this, Gwen is saying she just wants to be done with the show altogether.”
